Frequently Asked Questions about Candles
How long do the scented candles burn?
Burn time depends on size. Small candles (up to 200g) burn for around 30–40 hours, large candles (300–500g) up to 70 hours. Exact details are listed on each product page.
How strong is the scent in the room?
This varies by brand and formula. Candles from Cire Trudon or Arty Fragrance are known for their intense room fragrance. A small candle suits rooms up to 20 m²; for larger living spaces we recommend 300g or more.
What is the difference between soy and paraffin candles?
Soy candles burn more slowly, produce less soot and are considered more eco-friendly. Paraffin is the classic option — often lower cost with a stronger scent throw. Many of our premium candles use plant wax blends to combine the best of both.
How do you care for a scented candle?
Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each use — this prevents soot and extends burn time. On the first burn, let the candle burn for at least 2 hours so the entire surface melts evenly. Avoid draughts.
Can candles be gift-wrapped?
Yes — gift wrapping can be selected at checkout. Many of our scented candles already come in a premium box that makes a perfect gift as-is.
