Reichenbach Porcelain ASTA Vase – Black and White

ASTA – a sculptural expression of line and form

A clean line, a softly curved contour and a
carefully placed graphic detail: the ASTA
porcelain vase by Reichenbach demonstrates how a
restrained design can create a striking visual
impression.

Its tall, slender body combines a straight left
edge with a gently sculpted right side. The
contour curves inwards before expanding outwards,
forming a distinctive asymmetrical silhouette. A
rectangular opening continues the clear geometric
language of the design.

A vertical sequence of short black stripes runs
along the left front edge of the glossy white
porcelain. The generous white surface remains
deliberately undecorated, allowing the proportions
and shape to take centre stage.

The back is entirely white, without a striped or
dotted pattern. As a result, the vase offers two
subtly different expressions depending on the
viewing angle: graphic and distinctive from the
front, almost minimalist from behind.

Measuring 15 cm in height, 7.5 cm in width and
just 3 cm in depth, ASTA has a remarkably slender
profile. It is equally compelling as a standalone
decorative object or styled with a single
expressive flower. Display it on a console,
sideboard or narrow shelf, where its architectural
silhouette can be appreciated.

ASTA also makes a beautiful companion to the
smaller Reichenbach ASTI vase. Both share a
related asymmetrical shape, yet their decorations
offer a playful contrast: black stripes on ASTA
and an all-over black dot pattern on ASTI.

Together, the two vases form a considered
composition of contrasting heights, proportions
and graphic rhythms.
