METTE is one of the most compact wallets in our collection,
but this particular version is defined above all by its
exceptional material. Genuine dark brown snakeskin
reveals its natural scale structure across the surface, making
this METTE a true one-of-a-kind piece.

The leather is available only in a very limited quantity, and
this particular finish is exclusive to the TRIXI GRONAU
collection. Every section shows slight differences in scale
pattern, colour and natural sheen.

A distinctive additional detail is created by occasional
strip-like lacquer accents applied only to selected areas of
the leather. Against the more matte natural scales, these
glossy sections appear almost black in certain light and give
the dark brown surface additional depth.

This contrast is precisely what gives the wallet its
character: naturally irregular scales meet isolated glossy
areas rather than a perfectly uniform industrial finish.

Inside, METTE is lined with smooth dark brown nappa leather.
Its soft and calm surface creates an elegant contrast with the
more pronounced snakeskin texture on the exterior and feels
particularly pleasant in everyday use.

Despite measuring only 9.5 × 6.7 cm, METTE offers a
surprisingly practical interior. Three card slots hold
essential cards, complemented by a banknote compartment, an
additional slip pocket and a coin pocket.

The coin compartment is deliberately designed with comfortable
access, making it easy to reach and remove coins. In such a
compact wallet, this detail makes a noticeable difference in
everyday use.

METTE slips easily into a small handbag, clutch, jacket or
trouser pocket while still carrying the essentials. It also
works beautifully as a second wallet
for travel, evenings out or occasions when you want to
carry less.

METTE is made in our Hamburg manufactory. The unusual leather
is selected and cut before being combined with the smooth
nappa leather interior to create the compact wrap wallet.

Personalisation
with embossing is available on request. Because the
snakeskin exterior has a strongly structured natural surface,
the most suitable position for embossing is selected according
to the individual piece.

This METTE is not a standard production item. The snakeskin is
limited, and this exact combination of material, colour and
surface treatment is a one-of-a-kind piece.
