Half the shape. A design idea all its own.

At first glance, something seems to be missing
from the Sompex TWIN.

The familiar silhouette of a table lamp has been
reduced to one half: a half-shaped shade, a slim
stem and a base that follows the same unusual
geometry.

But nothing is actually missing. This is precisely
the idea behind TWIN.

Its unconventional shape takes up less space than
a traditional table lamp and turns a functional
design decision into a distinctive visual
statement.

Finished in black, its silhouette feels
particularly graphic. Clean edges, a restrained
surface and no unnecessary decoration.

Designed for smaller spaces

Not every bedside table has room for a
conventional lamp. Narrow console tables, shelves
and small side tables present the same challenge.

TWIN approaches these spaces differently.

Its reduced shape allows it to be positioned close
to a wall, using the available surface more
efficiently.

The half-shaped base follows the geometry of the
lamp head, giving the design a coherence that
feels both practical and deliberate.

Let the wall become part of the light

One of the most interesting features of TWIN is
the way its light interacts with nearby surfaces.

Placed close to a wall, the soft illumination can
create a gentle reflected glow. The dark
silhouette remains clearly defined while the
surrounding surface becomes part of the lighting
effect.

On a console in a hallway, beside a sofa or on a
bedroom chest of drawers, TWIN feels subtly
different from an ordinary table lamp.

Two colour temperatures, one distinctive silhouette

The integrated LED offers two selectable colour
temperatures: 2700 K and 3000 K.

Choose 2700 K for a warm, relaxed atmosphere or
3000 K for a slightly clearer white light.

The touch dimmer allows continuous brightness
adjustment, and the memory function recalls the
previous dimming setting.

Cordless and compact

An integrated lithium-ion battery makes TWIN easy
to place without a nearby power socket during
operation.

Depending on the selected setting, battery life
ranges from approximately 10 to 80 hours. Charging
takes around six hours.

At 21 cm high, 12.5 cm wide and approximately 6 cm
deep, TWIN is comfortably compact.

Made from aluminium, the lamp is designed for dry
indoor spaces.

Our favourite detail: The narrow pool of light
reflected from a pale wall. A reminder that a
deliberately reduced form can create an
unexpectedly distinctive atmosphere.
