How a piece becomes yours
Every piece is prepared by hand and embossed one at a time.

Why should embossing always be gold?
Three decisions turn a lovely piece into yours. First the colour, then the design, then the lettering. You choose all three on the product page.
Colour
Alongside gold and silver we keep neon pink, turquoise, magenta, copper and rose gold. And blind embossing, with no foil at all.
Design
More than fifty designs are ready to go. A Vespa, the Eiffel Tower, a hashtag. Or a symbol that means something only to you.
Lettering
Nine typefaces in several sizes, set from individual brass letters. A name, initials or a whole sentence.
And sometimes no colour at all
Blind embossing uses no foil. Only heat and pressure. The mark sits in the leather as a relief and only shows when the light catches it. It is the quietest way to sign a piece.

From sketch to brass die
Have something different in mind? We can create it.
1Design
You bring us an idea, a sketch, some handwriting or a logo. In our graphics atelier we turn it into the artwork for your embossing die. You see it at actual size before anything is made.
2Brass die
Once you have approved the design, we have a die made in brass. It stays here with us and can be used again at any time.
3Finished piece
We emboss by hand, in the colour you chose. On one piece or on fifty.

Have it embossed in HamburgWe prepare every piece by hand and emboss it one at a time in our workshop.

Gift wrapping if you likeWe wrap your piece as a gift and add a card if you want one.
We love traditional craft. We just don’t treat it traditionally.
Hot foil embossing is more than a hundred years old. The press, the brass letters, the pressure of the hand: little of that has changed.
What has changed is what we put into it. A lime green leather heart. An orange lever arch file. A Vespa in turquoise.
Craft is the technique. Style comes from what we make of it.
